Landsides – Landkante

A Landkante (also known as a landside) is a part of a plough that runs along the side of the furrow, providing stability and guiding the plough through the soil. It helps maintain the correct alignment of the plough as it moves through the field, ensuring that the ploughshare and mould board perform efficiently. The landkante typically resists the lateral forces generated during ploughing, preventing the plough from veering off course. It is an essential component for consistent, straight furrows. Landkantes come in various sizes and are designed to withstand significant wear and tear.
  • Vetsak Landkante:
    • Short (3146): 200mm length, 110mm width, 12mm thickness, 12mm hole size.
    • Long (3147): 320mm length, 110mm width, 12mm thickness, 12mm hole size.
  • MF Landkante:
    • Short (7201): 420mm length, 110mm width, 12mm thickness, 12mm and 16mm hole sizes.
    • Long (7202): 560mm length, 110mm width, 12mm thickness, 12mm and 16mm hole sizes.
  • Generic Landkante:
